Alisa Lenander is a graduate of Cortiva Institute-CSMT. Alisa found her way to massage therapy several years ago after searching for her own wellness for over a decade. Alisa decided to become more proactive about the quality of her life and the lives of others. Alisa's life goal of continual learning is supported and complemented by evolving studies in anatomy, kinesiology, and pathologies of the human body. She is a nationally certified massage therapist, an Illinois LMT, as well as a member of the AMTA. With blended techniques of myofascial release, Swedish relaxation, deep tissue massage, and sports massage, Alisa will customize each treatment to fit your needs. Alisa was also a volunteer massage therapist at the 2009 Chicago Marathon. Prior to becoming a Massage Therapist Alisa received her BFA in studio arts from the University of Illinois-Chicago. For Alisa, massage is an extension of art and craftsmanship, using the body as tool and medium. Hello! My name is Erik Petersen, I'm the "Stretch Guy"! I've been an Active Isolated Stretching (A.I.S.) Therapist for 6 years. My background and training are as follows: I'm an American Council of Exercise (A.C.E.) Certified Personal Trainer, and a NCBTMB Certified A.I.S. instructor. I've spent hundreds of hours assisting Aaron Mattes (the Creator of A.I.S) at his seminars, and at his Clinic in Sarasota Fl. I've also worked on hundreds of people with a myriad of chronic/acute injuries, and athletes of all levels, with incredible results. My personal philosophy is "I want you well!" I am passionate about this work, and I look at each client as a personal challenge to figure out how I can tailor a program that will benefit them the most. Please come into this incredibly beautiful and welcoming Spa for an A.I.S. treatment; you will be amazed at how fast and effective it is for your overall holistic wellness. I look forward to meeting you! My name is Luie Garcia and I am a graduate of the Cortiva Chicago School of Massage Therapy. I am trained in Swedish, Acupressure, and Sports Massage. The most important part of any massage treatment is creating a sense of balance in body and mind. In this way each treatment will feel like a combination of all styles. In my practice I've found that every BODY can be tight, sore, relaxed, and tender all at once. For this reason, the body must be treated with variety, with stretch, with gradual deep work, and with calm of mind. Each mind, spirit, and body is unique: your massage will feel like an expression of this philosophy. To be treated as a unique being is the respect you deserve, it is the treatment you will have.
